About this model
Converts a 3D view into a quick marker rendering on smooth white marker paper, the kind of sketch a designer draws in the first weeks of a project. The camera and the building are kept: massing, opening positions and viewpoint stay as in your model, while photoreal materials and saturated CG color are removed. The template redraws the view with confident black fineliner contours in varied weights and a muted marker palette: warm and cool greys, with a few restrained accents such as warm beige, soft sage and dusty blue. Fills behave like real markers: visible streaks, slight overlaps between strokes, small bleeds at the edges, two or three tonal layers per surface. White paper is left for highlights, cool greys carry the shadows, vegetation becomes loose green-grey masses and the sky stays paper white or takes a light grey wash. A faint scan texture finishes the sheet. Marker rendering with AI is useful when a photoreal image would close a discussion too early. A sketch tells the client that the design is still open, invites comments on volume and proportion rather than on tile colors, and keeps the energy of a hand drawing without spending an evening on it.
When to use it
Two weeks into schematic design, an architect meets a client to discuss three massing options for a house on a slope. Showing renders would steer the talk toward finishes. The architect takes a viewport screenshot of each option, runs them through Marker Sketch, and lays the three sketches on the table. The client compares volumes, roof shapes and views, and the meeting ends with a chosen option rather than a list of material preferences.
Yes. Massing, opening positions and the camera angle come from your 3D view; only the rendering technique changes. Fine details are simplified, as they would be in a real marker sketch.
Marker Sketch gives muted color and a design-studio feel. Pencil Sketch is monochrome graphite with hatching, the most restrained of the three. Watercolor adds soft watercolor washes for an editorial, competition-board look.
