Generation

"Not enough credits"

Your balance doesn't cover the generation.

  1. Check your balance: click it in the header to open your wallet.
  2. On a paid plan, turn on Pay-as-you-go in the wallet, or raise its ceiling.
  3. On the free plan, wait for your 75 credits next Monday, or click See plans.
  4. Lower the cost: try a lower resolution, Nano Banana Flash, or fewer images per run.

The cost of each generation is shown before you launch it. See What a generation costs.

The generation never finishes

  1. Wait two or three minutes: 4K images and GPT Image 2.5 at high quality take longer.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Reload the page and look in the gallery: the image may already be there.
  4. If it still isn't there, launch it again. A generation that fails is refunded.

Poor result or visual artifacts

Source image too small or blurry Use a sharp image, ideally 1024 px or more on the short side, in PNG or high-quality JPEG.

Vague or contradictory prompt Say what you want, concretely, and keep it consistent.

Good: "Two-story house, white concrete facade, large black-framed windows"
Weak: "nice house"

Resolution too low for the use Generate at 2K or 4K, or upscale the image you keep: open it and click Upscale.

An unlucky draw Generate 2 to 4 images at once, or use Vary for a new seed, and keep the best.

Wrong model for the job Try the other one: Flash often keeps the framing of a source better, Pro handles complex scenes, GPT Image 2.5 follows long, precise instructions. See Choosing a model.

The image is cropped differently than expected

  1. Aspect ratio set to Auto: Auto follows your source image. Pick a fixed ratio (16:9, 3:2, 1:1…) in the settings row if you need a given format.
  2. Source and ratio don't match: a 3:2 photo forced into 1:1 will be reframed. Pick the ratio of your source, or use Resize in the viewer to extend an image to another format.

"Generation failed"

The prompt or image was refused The model refused the content. Rephrase the prompt or use another image.

The file is not valid Use PNG, JPEG or WebP, and make sure the file opens on your computer.

A temporary error Wait a minute and try again. If the same generation fails every time, try another model or a lower resolution, then write to help@arkia.app.

Failed generations are refunded.

Editing an image

My selection or brush strokes don't show

  1. Make sure you picked Select or Erase in the viewer's edit bar.
  2. Increase the brush size.
  3. Wait for the image to load fully before painting.

The edit changed more than the area I painted

With Select, describe only the change you want inside the area ("replace the sofa with a grey linen one"), not the whole image. To remove something, use Erase and leave the description empty.

Remove background did nothing

It asks you to confirm before it runs (it costs 1 credit). Check that you confirmed, then look at the image's history in the viewer.

Nodes

I can't connect two nodes

  1. Direction: drag from an output port (right side of a node) to an input port (left side of another).
  2. Port already used: some inputs take a single link. Remove the existing link first (double-click it).
  3. Loop: a node can't feed itself through other nodes.

A node doesn't run

  1. Missing inputs: a Generate node needs a prompt, and the images it cites must be connected.
  2. Credits: check your balance.
  3. Reload: reload the page; your graph is saved automatically.

I can't delete a node

Click the node to select it, then press Delete. You can undo from the toast that appears, or with Ctrl + Z. Right-clicking a node also opens its menu.

A Template node shows no options

That's normal for some templates: Empty the Room has no options, Lighting Change has a sun slider. The Templates guide lists every template's settings.

Upscale

"WebGPU not detected"

The Free upscale runs on your own GPU, through WebGPU. Quick runs in the cloud and doesn't need it.

  1. Update your browser: recent Chrome and Edge support WebGPU. Firefox and Safari support depends on the version.
  2. In Chrome, open chrome://gpu and check that WebGPU is enabled.
  3. Otherwise, use Quick (from 2 credits), or generate directly at a higher resolution.

A Free upscale is very slow, or the image is too large

Large images take longer: the node warns you above about 16 megapixels. The Free output stops at 8,192 px on a side: use ×2 instead of ×4, or switch to Quick, which goes up to 4K.

"Another upscale is already in progress"

Only one Free upscale runs at a time, because it uses your graphics card. Wait for it to finish, or reload the page if it seems stuck.

Your connection dropped, or the page waited too long, during a Quick upscale. The upscale keeps running on our side and appears in your gallery when it's done, usually within a few minutes. Don't start it again. If it fails, your credits are refunded automatically.

"The upscale failed"

Your credits are refunded: right away when the message says so, otherwise automatically within 15 minutes. Try again; if it fails again, write to help@arkia.app.

"Two upscales are already running"

You can run two Quick upscales at a time, and one at a time per image. Start the next one when one finishes.

"Already 4K" or "Larger than 4K"

Quick goes up to 4K (about 17 megapixels). An image that's already 4K has nothing left to enlarge, and an image larger than 4K can't be upscaled.

Credits and payment

Credits were charged but I got no image

  1. Reload the page and look in the gallery: the image may be there.
  2. A failed generation is refunded automatically. Check your balance again after a minute.
  3. If credits are still missing, write to help@arkia.app with the time of the generation and what you ran.

I'm subscribed but my balance is at 0

  1. Your monthly credits are used up. Turn on Pay-as-you-go in the wallet, or wait for your renewal.
  2. The page is out of date. Reload it, or sign out and back in.

I reached my pay-as-you-go ceiling

Generation pauses until your next renewal. Raise your ceiling in the wallet, up to your plan's limit, or move to a bigger plan. See Pay-as-you-go.

My payment was declined

  1. Check the card number, expiry date, security code and billing address.
  2. Some banks block international online payments: ask your bank to allow it.
  3. Try another card, or Apple Pay. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Apple Pay.
  4. Still blocked? Write to help@arkia.app.

Sign-in

I didn't receive my verification code

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.
  2. Wait two or three minutes, then click Resend code.
  3. Check the email address for typos.
  4. Some company domains block automated emails: try another address.

I keep getting signed out

  1. Enable cookies for arkia.app.
  2. Don't use private browsing.
  3. Turn off ad-blockers or privacy extensions on arkia.app.

Display and browser

The interface is slow

  1. Close tabs and apps you don't need, especially other 3D or video apps.
  2. In Nodes, very large graphs are heavier: split the work across scenes.
  3. Reload the page, or restart the browser.

The colors look wrong, or the theme is not the one I want

ARKIA has a light and a dark theme. It follows your system setting until you choose one with the theme button in the header. Extensions that restyle pages (Dark Reader, Stylus…) can interfere: turn them off for arkia.app.

The layout is broken on my phone

ARKIA is built for desktop. A tablet in landscape works; on a phone, some tools are limited.

  1. Check the gallery scope: the image is in the project and scene that were open when you launched it. Switch to All projects to see everything.
  2. Images are sorted by date, newest first.
  3. Reload the page.

My changes in Nodes were not saved

  1. Check your internet connection: the graph saves automatically.
  2. Check that the right project and scene are open. Each scene has its own graph.

A project is missing

  1. Check which account you're signed in with.
  2. If the project was shared with you, its owner may have removed you.
  3. Still missing? Write to help@arkia.app.

I can't delete an image

Confirm in the dialog that opens. If it still fails, reload the page and try again.

Getting started

I closed the guide

Open ? → Getting started in the header: the guide comes back with your progress, and every step can be replayed.

A Getting started step stays unchecked

  1. Steps need a real action, not a visit: render an image, edit one in the viewer, run a template.
  2. A render that failed is refunded and doesn't count: try again.
  3. Reload the page if the step doesn't validate after the action.

A tour bubble disappeared

Tours pause while a dialog is open (credits, publishing…) and come back when it closes. After a reload, the tour picks up where you were.

Organizations

I don't see my team's budget

  1. Check that you accepted the invitation: your team's name shows next to your balance in the header.
  2. If it says Not assigned, an admin needs to add you to a team.
  3. If it says Paused, an admin needs to restore the team's billing.

"Your monthly limit is reached"

Your admin set a monthly limit for you, or for your team. Only an admin can raise it, from the organization page.

Still stuck

Write to help@arkia.app with:

  • your browser and its version (for example Chrome 141);
  • your system (Windows 11, macOS…);
  • the steps that lead to the issue;
  • a screenshot if you can.

Before writing, it often helps to:

  • update your browser;
  • reload the page;
  • sign out and back in;
  • try another browser, or turn off extensions on arkia.app.
