Video guide

Animate turns one of your images into a short video: a slow orbit around the building, a push in through the entrance, daylight turning to night. Your image is the first frame; you can also give the last one.

Three ways to animate

FromHow
The image viewerOpen an image and click Animate under it, or press A.
The Canvas prompt barSwitch the bar from Image to Video. Drop a Start frame, and an End frame if you want one.
NodesAdd a Video node and wire one or two images into it (start, then the optional end). See Nodes.

Then pick a level, a duration and a motion, and click Animate (or press Ctrl+Enter, ⌘+Enter on Mac). The cost shows on the button before you click.

Levels

LevelModelResolutionLengthFor
DraftMiniMax H3 Max Turbo768p1 to 15 sA fast preview of the move
StandardMiniMax H3 Max768p or 1080p1 to 15 sSharp, with precise camera moves
FinalWan 3.0 Prime1080p2 to 30 sBest quality, for the shot you keep
  • The free plan has Draft. Standard and Final come with a paid plan.
  • Before your first Standard or Final clip, the bar offers Preview in Draft first with its price: check the move cheaply, then render it for real.
  • On Standard, 1080p costs twice as much as 768p.

The Motion catalog

Click the Motion chip, or press M, to pick what happens in the clip. You pick a camera move and a scene separately; ARKIA writes the instructions the video model reads.

Camera

MoveWhat it does
StaticHolds still on the frame
Orbit left / Orbit rightA slow arc to the left or the right
Push inA slow dolly forward
Pull outA slow dolly backward
RiseRises slowly

Scene

SceneWhat it does
StillCalm, steady light
Subtle lifeLeaves and people move
Day to nightDaylight turns to night
  • Click a picked entry again to unpick it.
  • With nothing picked, the camera holds still unless your text describes a move, and the scene gets Subtle life.
  • With an End frame, the scene becomes a Transition: the clip turns into your end frame.

Your own words

The field takes your own description of the motion, in any language. The wand turns it into a precise camera move, and the Motion catalog follows what it wrote. Original | Enhanced switches between your text and the enhanced one.

Costs

A video is billed per second: the level's base rate times the length, then your plan's rate, like images.

On the free plan, a 5-second Draft costs about 38 credits.

The cost shown on the Animate button is the one that counts: it follows your plan, the level, the resolution and the length you picked. See Credits.

If a video fails, its credits come back. You can also stop a video while it renders: its credits come back if it stops in time.

Your videos

A video lands in your gallery next to the image it came from, in the same project and scene. It renders on our servers, so you can keep working while it does; ARKIA tells you when it is ready.

Click a video to open the player:

  • Play / Pause (Space), Loop, Mute (M), Full screen (F), ← and → for the previous and next item.
  • Download MP4, Add to favorites, Publish to community, and Delete behind the ⋯ menu.
  • The details panel shows the level, the model, the duration and your motion prompt (Copy the motion prompt), and links back to the source image.
  • Re-animate opens Animate on the source image with the same settings.

In Nodes, drag a video from the gallery onto the graph to keep it next to the images that made it (a Clip).

Tips

  • Start from a sharp, well-lit image: the video keeps its look.
  • One move per clip. A slow orbit or push in reads better than a busy camera.
  • Preview in Draft, then render the take you keep in Standard or Final.
  • For a precise change between two states (empty plot, then building), give an End frame.
